DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH
jiyoun@aadinitiative.org
I'm Jiyoun, a senior at Princeton University studying molecular biology with a minor in Spanish. As a sister to a disabled younger brother, disability advocacy has always been central to my life. As an Asian-American woman, I am also poignantly aware of how the Asian-American and disability spaces intersect, and am passionate about fostering our growing community and increasing visibility of disabled Asian-Americans in media.
Outside of AADI, I fuel myself with service. I lead the nutrition and eating disorders team as part of the Peer Health Advisers cohort, teach English to native Spanish-speakers through El Centro, and volunteer at the local hospital and hospice. In my free time, you can find me relaxing with friends or family, curled up reading a good book, or flying by on roller-blades!
